Vilvah is an objectionably new and diligent certified skin care brand from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. The one which has its own goat farm and buy all of their ingredients directly from farmers. Hence there is no need to mention about "completely organic"thing once again. Vilvah's story has been written by Kruthika Kumaran who is undoubtedly an inspirational entrepreneur woman. Though their top-selling products are goat milk hair care (Soon will come up with a review on that) , I chose a skin care product which is also outstanding in results.

Vilvah's Rosy cheeks face scrub is my today's take. It is an organic paraben-free, chemicals-free powder based face scrub. You can buy it from here

How it is packed?

This tub package is ideal for a powder scrub and so i suggest you to use wooden spoons (Buy from here) to avoid moisture inside the tub and i advise you to store the tub with lids tightly closed. Because any amount of moisture can spoil the product and it would be totally a waste of money.

What it claims?

The product claims to tighten and tone the skin and makes it more soft and bright in look.

Ingredients: Rose petals from kannauj, Hibiscus petal powder, Apricot kernel meal, Licorice, Rice flour, Kaolin clay, Rose and Geranium essential oils.

While decoding these ingredients and claims, we can see that rose and hibiscus powders are meant to be firming agents of skin which can help in aging and skin tightening. And apricot meal is itself a good scrub and licorice for pigmentation. Rice and clay for cleansing properties.

How it looks?

The rose petals which is the main ingredient in this scrub has brought from kannauj, known for best roses in india. The bright pink hue of this scrub tells the purity of this impeccable scrub. The scrub particles are medium in size nor small neither large, so your scrubbing and masking won't hurt your skin anymore.

How it smells?

The smell is totally a mix of rose and geranium essential oils which relaxes you while you apply it on your face and lingers even after washing-off. The smell is lil bit raw fragrance which pacifies you and mild enough to enjoy.

How it feels?

Even though the scrub has any pros on its side, it can't be applied on your skin effectively since the powder doesn't stick to your skin as a creay one. You can see that in the picture itself. The small petals will fall while scrubbing (obviously the product is wasted).

I always mix oat meal with this scrub before applying which makes it easier for application. And also oat meal is itself a best yet simple scrub from your kitchen.

How it works on your skin?

This scrub mix is ideal for all skin types and suitable for sensitive, acne-prone skin too. Rose oil works on acne by reducing the inflammation and redness. The pore size is visibly reduced after usage and it gives incredible level of hydration. Dry-skinned beauties can pick it up without hesitation for a great moisturization

Suggestion of usage:

Wanna rock on a party or a wedding? Undoubtedly this rosy cheeks scrub can be included in your pre-marital facial routine and also before any makeup. Because of the glow and real shine it gives to your face, your makeup doesn't seem to be a makeup at all.

Are you a minimalist? Then you can leave the scrub as a mask after scrubbing it on your skin which benefits you a lot. I hope the wild rose mask from vilvah will do the same as this scrub cum mask product.

Since the product gives enough moisture to your face, you can avoid using curd/yogurt while mixing unless your skin is extremely dry. Plain water, honey, rose water, coconut water or any hydrosol just works fine.
